Average size of newly granted old-age pensions (EUR)
According to the Law on Pensions (valid since 1 January 1998), persons who had reached the retirement age in the respective period of time were allotted the average size of the old-age pension.
Pensioners per 1000 population
After revision of the data calculation methodology, the data on period starting from 2011 were corrected.
Pensioners per 1000 population
Starting from 2000, data are recalculated in compliance with the results of the Population and Housing Census 2011.
Year/Quarter: 2013/1st quarter , Indicator: Average size of newly granted old-age pensions (EUR)
An increase was observed in the number of persons than will receive Latvia pension while living in other EU/EEA Member State, moreover pension to which is granted in compliance with the international regulations, i.e., rights to receive pension are granted basing on the insurance period in both Latvia and other EU/EEA Member State, but each country is granting pension depending on its own insurance periods.
